The Stashbuilders yahoo group is doing mini round robins now. The round/row robins are more or less done so now we’re moving to smaller wall hangings. I’ve signed up for two! I’m crazy! Here’s a pic of the first one. The theme is deep tone on tones: (The second one will be Asian inspired fabrics)

As some might now, I’ve recently got a new sewing machine. Why might you ask? Well let me tell you about the Singer I’ve had that’s from 1978. All in all, I looooooooooove that machine. No huge gripes perse. I do, however, use the walking foot all the time with it because something was odd about the ¼ foot. It would have been hard to get a new foot for a machine that old. I’m told it would be around $40. That’s not all that much money but when I saw the add on Craigslist for a Brother sewing machine for $80 I was like “Sure! Why not?”
The new machine also has free motion ability, something I don’t have a lot of experience with but would love to get some! Because I am a sap, I will always always use me older machine. It has and continues to serve me well.
The new machine is nice to take to classes and such or if Dianne and I get together at her house and I don’t want to lug a heavy machine up two flights of stairs! Here are some pics of me and my assistant working at it.
(Ms. Luna is helping me in the picture on the bottom)
